We do not think it’s about one approach or single-issue responses, it’s about seeing a larger picture of social health and working together to occupy the future with creative and practical solutions. Here are some diverse resources we have found that have inspired us and might be helpful for you. We will continue to develop and refine this list over time. If you have any feedback or suggestions please email occupyfuture(AT)gmail.com. We are also interested in co-creating future steps and we would love to hear your answer to the question “What is the future you want to occupy?” (Click to leave a reply).

missing what I’d consider the most important perspective from a brilliant alternative economist – The Future of Money , by Bernard Lietaer . Also ought to have Tom Greco’s The End of Money and the Future of Civilization .
The system is broken, and there should be much more focus on creating the new alternatives that will rise from the ashes. The more we understand why and how the system is broken, the more likely we’ll be able to understand how to create the patterns for future systems that will have a better chance of functioning for the greatest number of the planet’s human and non-human inhabitants.
Future steps should include potential roadmaps for building Earth Communities.
No question this is the place to get this info, thknas y’all.
Your “Buckminster Fuller Resources” link (to a very old Public Television web site) needs to be updated. For starters, the Buckminster Fuller Institute is now http://www.bfi.org
I also highly recommend you add information about the two other pioneers in the use of Systems Thinking to propose solutions to society’s problems (as Bucky did): Drs. W. Edwards Deming and Russell L. Ackoff

Thanks Steve!
I really like what you are saying, and am glad I found your website. Please keep it up.
I am extremely inspired together with your writing talents as smartly as with the format on your blog. Is this a paid subject or did you customize it your self? Either way keep up the excellent high quality writing, it’s rare to see a great blog like this one today. Goodbye from India
